Innovation and Leadership at GITEX 2024: A Week of Transformation
From October 16 to 20, 2024, Dubai became the epicenter of global innovation as it hosted GITEX 2024, the world’s largest tech gathering. As I look back on the incredible week, I am both inspired and humbled by the opportunities to connect with leaders, share ideas, and advance Dectec's mission of empowering individuals through decentralized AI.
Pioneering Conversations at GITEX
GITEX wasn’t just about showcasing cutting-edge technology—it was about redefining what’s possible for humanity. I had the privilege of meeting His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, the UAE’s Minister of AI, who expressed a visionary commitment to leveraging AI for social and economic good. Similarly, conversations with U.S. Ambassador Martina Strong and Reta Jo Lewis, President of the Export–Import Bank of the United States, highlighted the importance of international collaboration in ensuring AI serves as a tool for empowerment.
As we discussed the rapidly growing $15 trillion AI-driven economy, the message was clear: decentralized AI is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. Every individual deserves the opportunity to own their data and participate in the technological revolution.
Driving Impact Through Decentralized AI
One of the most exciting aspects of GITEX was the chance to present Dectec’s innovations, including our Angel Twin technology, which enables personalized, human-like interactions through AI. We demonstrated how digital twins can revolutionize industries by bridging the gap between individuals and the vast opportunities of a rapidly evolving world.
In addition, the U.S. delegation I joined was a testament to the global partnerships needed to drive meaningful impact. Together, we explored how decentralized AI can reskill workforces, transform industries, and create equitable access to resources.

Beyond the discussions and keynotes, GITEX was a celebration of the human spirit. It was a chance to engage with visionaries who share a passion for solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges. From panels on reskilling 800 million people for the jobs of tomorrow to exploring blockchain’s role in decentralized solutions, every moment reinforced the potential of technology to empower and inspire.
The week also provided a platform to celebrate innovation in action. Our interactions with partners like Angel AI and global leaders emphasized the role of collaboration in building a future where technology serves humanity, not the other way around.
